It is said that once Narada Muni fell into the clutches of the dacoit Ratnakar while going through the forest. Then Narad ji told him that nothing would be achieved in this. Ratnakar told him that he does all this for the family. Then Narad Muni asked him whether his family members would also become partners in his bad deeds? Epic written inspired by Ram
It is said that inspired by Narad Muni, Ratnakar started chanting the name of Ram, but instead of Ram, the words ‘Mara Mara’ were coming out of his mouth. Narad Muni said, keep repeating this, Ram is hidden in this. After this, the name of Ram arose in Ratnakar’s mind so much that after seeing his penance, Brahma ji himself appeared to him and after seeing the anthill on his body, Brahma ji named him Valmiki. Maharishi Valmiki got inspiration to write Ramayana from Lord Brahma. He wrote Ramayana in Sanskrit, which is considered to be the oldest Ramayana and is said to have 24000 verses.
