In a few days, assembly elections will be started for a total of 5 states i.e. Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram. All parties including BJP and Congress have started preparations for the elections to be held in these states. However, meanwhile, Ramdas Athawale, leader of the Republican Party, an ally of the BJP-led NDA, has made a move that may cause difficulty for the BJP.

Athawale will field candidates in two states

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said- “We are allies of NDA, so it would be good to support BJP. Therefore, we are supporting BJP by not fielding any candidate on all 229 seats of Madhya Pradesh. We believe that in Madhya Pradesh The state BJP will be elected. In Chhattisgarh, we have decided that we are supporting the BJP on all 90 seats, but in the other two states, Telangana and Rajasthan, we will contest on 15-20 seats.”

Demanding two Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra
A few days ago, Ramdas Athawale had also demanded two seats in Maharashtra for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. He had said that if the Republican Party gets two seats and if it is elected on two seats, then the Republican Party can become a recognized party in Maharashtra. Along with this, Athawale had said that if he gets a chance to contest elections from Shirdi, he will think about it.

Elections will be held on this date
According to the Election Commission, voting will be held in Chhattisgarh in two phases on November 7 and November 17. Voting will be held in Mizoram on 7 November. Voting will be held in Madhya Pradesh on 17th November, in Rajasthan on 25th November while in Telangana on 30th November. The results of the assembly elections of all these states will be declared on December 3.
