Fertilizer subsidy continues to be given on per kg basis on different nutrients. This time for Rabi season, the government will give subsidy of Rs 47.02 per kg on Nitrogen, Rs 20.82 per kg on Phosphorus, Rs 2.38 per kg on Potash and Rs 1.89 per kg on Sulphur. Let us tell you that this subsidy will be applicable from October 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.
Prices of fertilizers in Rabi season
On behalf of Union Minister Anurag Thakur, it was said that the government will continue to provide subsidy of Rs 4500 per tonne on Di-Ammonium Phosphate i.e. DAP. For this reason, DAP bags will continue to be available at the old rate of Rs 1350. At the same time, NKP bag will also be available for Rs 1470.
Let us tell you, P&K fertilizers are provided to the farmers at concessional rates by the Central Government. P&K Fertilizers Subsidy is applicable since 2010. A provision of Rs 44,000 crore was made by the Central Government in the budget for the financial year 2023-24 for nutrient based fertilizers. By August 2023, subsidy worth more than Rs 34 thousand crore has been given. fertilizers But the objective of the government behind giving subsidy is to ensure that farmers incur minimum cost of farming, so that they can earn maximum profit by selling the crop.
