The Election Commission has issued show cause notices to Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The Election Commission has questioned Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi over her “envelope” remarks related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s temple darshan visit and the comments made last week targeting the state’s lone Muslim minister Mohammad Akbar during the assembly election campaign in Chhattisgarh.
